Truthful Tuesday
I tend to get rage filled when a 40+ year old cries to me about losing their parent or even worse a grand parent. It takes every ounce of restraint in me to bite my tongue, which if you know anything about me is a task most wouldn’t believe possible. Filtering my mouth is hard.
I want to scream, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME WITH THIS SHIT RIGHT NOW?! I know it is my grief, but it is also bitter jealousy. Seriously, you had how many years with them? I got screwed early and my nieces lost their mom before they were even in preschool, so piss off because I consider you fortunate. I’m not saying their grief isn’t valid, but the worst thing people can do is cry about a loss to the ones who have been robbed of a loved one early in life.
I hate the months of November through February. The grief doesn’t go away or get easier, it just gets different.

I feel ya, Girl, and you lost your parent even earlier than I lost mine. I felt robbed in many ways, especially for my kids. And it never gets easier, just different. The holidays are hard for me too, anniversaries, birthdays. Absence is palpable.
